With more than 15 years of experience in the restaurant industry, Rooster’s Wood-Fired Kitchen's Managing Partner Deanna Petersen knows what it takes to run a successful restaurant. Her role in the company is to ensure that guests receive the highest level of service and highest quality of food, while maintaining a warm, friendly and professional atmosphere.
“I want to continue my passion for the restaurant industry at Rooster’s Wood-Fired Kitchen and share the opportunity to grow within the company with other staff members,” says Petersen.
Petersen began her career in the late 1980s at Jameson Tavern in Freeport, Maine, where she took on the roles of server, bartender and manager. She then moved on to hold those same positions at several different restaurants in Charlotte including T.G.I. Fridays, Mid-town Sundries, Cotton Street Diner, Metropolitan Café, Patou French Bistro and Upstream Restaurant. During her time at these restaurants, Petersen was responsible for hiring and training staff, designing and implementing floor plans, managing bar inventory and providing daily sales reports.
In August of 2001, Petersen became a lunch, dinner and private event server at Noble’s Restaurant in Charlotte, beginning her six-year run with Jim Noble Restaurants.
During this time, she also served as an independent kitchen consultant for The Pampered Chef, managing all aspects of direct sales, presenting in-home cooking demonstrations, administering catalog shows, and participating in trade shows on behalf of the company.
In 2007, Petersen became managing partner of Rooster’s Wood-Fired Kitchen. There, she applies her skills and knowledge from various experiences in the restaurant industry to her every day responsibilities as managing partner.
Petersen resides in Charlotte with her husband Stephen. When she’s not volunteering at the Hospitality House or the Charlotte Symphony, she enjoys Carolina Panther football, cooking and entertaining, the theatre and boating with her husband and their dogs.
